What We Offer:

We pride ourselves on the friendliness of our members and the atmosphere that this creates. Beginners are always well looked after and everyone is made very welcome regardless of ability, age, ethnic origin or gender. But don’t take our word for it, come along and see for yourself. Eccleshill are the only club in the area that offer training on 3 nights of the week, plus some Sunday mornings. We are a friendly, down to earth club run by volunteers who, just like you, are in it for the pure enjoyment of running. You can do as little or as much training, enter as few or as many races and /or help run the club as much or as little as you’d like – we promise you there’ll be no pressure. Bradford Airedale Athletic Club

What We Offer:

Bradford Airedale Athletic Club started life in 1880 and was known then as Airedale Harriers. “Harriers” was a common term used in those days for clubs who participated in cross country running (off-road or trail running in today’s language). A popular theme for these clubs was for a runner (the hare) to set off with other club members following a short time later (the harriers). In 1965 Airedale Harriers amalgamated with the newer Spen Valley AC which resulted in the new name of Airedale & Spen Valley AC or ASVAC as it become popularly known. The club has also had successes on the track with three women members representing Britain at the Olympics between 1948 and 1960 and Peter Warden a semi-finalist in the 400m hurdles at Tokyo in 1964 and bronze medallist in the Commonwealth Games in 1966.

Queensbury Running Club (QRC) is based at Albert Road Community Hub (ARCH), 199 Albert Road, Queensbury, Bradford, BD13 1QB.We built on a passion for sociable and enjoyable fitness for all levels, from beginner to advanced. We are more than just a running club too. It is our mission to improve the fitness of all runners, enabling them to achieve their personal goals by creating a running community through regular club runs and events. We aim to promote a competitive Male and Female Team to compete in National Championships, as well as in our local area events. We wish to unite runners of every level of ability and interest, promoting good health, wellbeing, friendship and camaraderie, while encouraging participation in all types of running events from parkrun to Championship level.
