What We Offer:

The foundations of La Caverna are built upon the great success of my father in Casinalbo, Modena which saw his Pizzeria pull in customers from all over the region but which unfortunately had to close in 2006 due to family concerns. Our primary goal is to provide an authentic Modenese Pizza experience that utilises traditional wood fire techniques and uses only the finest ingredients from Modena itself. To enjoy one of our pizzas here at La Caverna will be to transport yourself to the very streets of Casinalbo, Modena circa 1979 from where our dough recipe originates with the original Pizzeria of my father, adding to the traditional Italian family experience.

SPECIALITY:

Tomato, chili & fresh herbs with crostini to mop up the sauce. Whole Grilled Sardines, char-grilled with dressed salad leaves & balsamic reduction

Exceptional wood-fired delicious Italian Pizza and a wonderful dining experience at “La Caverna” (meaning “The Cave”). This cozy little pizzeria is a rare find. The restaurant is centrally located yet tucked inside Sunbridge Wells. Andy and Emmanuel greeted us and were courteous throughout the serving.
A very tasty pizza place. The pizza dough is freshly made and I was impressed by the crisp outer combined with fluffy dough was a treat! The staff were very friendly and helped the relaxed vibe of this cool little restaurant. If I were to offer any critique it would be that the restaurants decor didn’t match the authentic, Italian feel of the pizza 🍕🍕 would recommend visiting
What a great find. We had a lovely meal here. As it was Saturday night and we hadn’t booked they were full in the restaurant, but seated us in the adjacent cocktail bar which was brilliant. A great atmosphere. Excellent food and wine. Fabulous friendly service. We will be back.

Visited this beautiful restaurant a few times and it has never disappointed. Food is brilliant, the staff are nice. My only advice to the owner is that if they introduce Halal options, their trade will double up. Well-done guys, keep it up
Its had a complete renovation. Very tastefully done. The menu is what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. We were greeted with friendly staff .

Fried zucchini are the best, all food is tasty and tastes authentic. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Don’t be deceived by the humble exterior – it is spacious and pleasant inside. Great for an impromptu meal out as no booking is ever necessary.
This place was a lucky find. The Italian menu you expect to see, with a few nice looking specials available too. Everything we ordered (four of us) was really good. The tomato garlic bread was especially nice. Wine was nice, Peroni on draught and a decent range of bottled lager and ales. Good atmosphere, good food, and really, really excellent staff. They lift this to a five star review.
The food at this place is absolutely amazing. Lobster ravioli incredible followed by a well seasoned medium rare fillet with veg and minoroast potatoes with spinach.
